enquanto esmago as uvas
do vinho amargo
com que brindas, a minha inocência.
Come do meu pão,
e abençoa as lascas da carne.

Em nome do pai que ofendes…
…saberás silenciar a dor
com o mesmo silencio, com que me sacrificas.

Em nome do filho que desconheces…
…lambe-me as feridas
com os mesmo corte, com que as abristes.

Em nome do espírito santo que violas…
…castiga-me com a mesma devoção
com que te apiedas, em nome do senhor.

SÃO AS PALAVRAS!...

São as palavras que compõem os meus poemas
E se atravessam sem pudor no pensamento,
Para depois se esvaírem em vários temas
Dizendo mudas o que escrevo, digo e penso.

São as palavras inesquecíveis ou efémeras
Que deslizam na caneta em minha mão,
E regurgitam todo o sentir, a minha essência
Com a verdade que me emudece o coração.

São as palavras que me querem fazer ver
Que quimeras são apenas ilusões,
Do que não temos mas sonhamos vir a ter,
E se proferem como que em orações.

São as palavras que ouso escutar
Que me beijam ou desferem golpes em chama arder,
As que tumultuam todo o meu pensar
Mas que me impelem sempre mais a escrever.

São as palavras que procuro e não encontro,
E bloqueada, impotente me condeno,
Risco, rasgo o papel e até o ponto
Que traiu o pensamento no meu cérebro!

É a grande Luz que em nós reside em cada dia
É o sentir humano que nos enche de esperança
É a alegria na correria e nos risos de uma criança
É o nosso amar declamado e escrito em poesia

É um interior a fazer saltar a realidade ao exterior
É um sofrimento que procura quem o veja sofrer
É uma verdade que deve mostrar-se, não se esconder
É um sítio onde a saudade existe e mora muita dor

Amor dos bons sonhos e da alegria
Amor dos amantes e dos amores
Amor conduzido pela Nobre poesia

Onde ninguém se engana nem há rancores
Onde ninguém sofre de ilusão doentia
Onde, como diz a poesia, só há jardins e flores

Woman becomes pregnant after being raped. As a result of the harsh prison conditions, she lost her child. Under Islamic law, extra-marital relations are forbidden and for the law any sexual violence involved makes no difference

Riyadh (AsiaNews/Agencies) – A woman jailed after being raped could be lashed 100 times. Camille, an invented name, is a 35- year-old immigrant from the Philippines who has been in a Saudi jail since September 2009. As a result of her rape, she became pregnant, but miscarried because of harsh prison life.

Under Saudi Arabia’s rigid application of Sharia or Islamic law, sexual relations outside of wedlock are strictly forbidden, irrespective of whether the woman is consenting or not. In fact, rape is punished in accordance with rules laid down in the Qur‘an.

The woman’s mother told her story in an interview with GMANews.Tv. Last spring, Camille went to Saudi Arabia to work in a dental clinic to support her 5-, 14- and 15-year-old children. In August, a co-worker from Bangladesh raped her.

Knowing that extra-marital relations are punishable under Saudi law, she did not go to the police to file charges, and tried instead to leave the country and return to the Philippines.

During a routine medical examination that expatriates must undergo before leaving, doctors found that she was pregnant. An arrest warrant was issued against her and on 11 September 2009, she was locked up in Hafer al Baten Central Jail.

Because of the generally harsh conditions in Saudi prisons, Camille miscarried last December.

According to her mother, she is scheduled to go before the judges who could impose 100 lashes.
